1. Turn over as much relevant material to webmaster as possible at the outset:
  • Objectives & mission of website.
      
  • Org chart showing hierarchy of web pages.
      
  • Text in file format (MS Word) for each page.
      
  • Photos suitable for scanning, or jpg format.
      
  • Reprints, ideally in PDF file format.
2. Define a Phase 1 of website.
3. Lay the groundwork for later phases.
4. Negotiate a not-to-exceed price for Phase 1.
5. Communicate often with webmaster to avoid surprises.
